It’s time to make our final decisions on who stays here at Heathview.  From this litter, we are planning to keep 2 females to run on and 1 male.  The other 7 puppies are now spoken for and going to their new homes this week.

Heathview sings “Beatles Songs” – 7.5 weeks old photo shoot

Today we completed our photo shoot of the pups at 7.5 weeks old.  It went a bit easier as they are more at ease in the house and I put on armament, my Michael Jackson statement.  It’s just getting much harder to make decisions.

Today the puppies went outside on a crisp Alberta day.  Dam Sophie watched over their antics.  How quickly they have learnt to navigate the flap door into their whelping area.  We have some poop detail to do.

This photo shoot was a bit more challenging.  The puppies learnt about the delight of “Roll Over” but they don’t distinguish well between bait and fingers at this age.  I have a few puncture wounds to prove it.

Hydebeck Golden Sponge aka “Lily” passes – Jan. 18, 2012 @ 9 years

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Our beloved Lily passed away today which has left a huge hole in our hearts.  She was a beautiful bitch that was entrusted to us by Louise Pinkney of the UK.  Lily is the foundation of our line at Heathview.   She was the matriac and Dam to our “D” ,and  “F” litters.  At home we currently have her great-grandchildren on the ground  which eases the pain knowing she lives on in them.

Rest in peace Dear Lily.
