We brought “Revol” out for his first shows in August, 2012 at Spruce Meadows in Calgary AB showing him at AKC, Alberta Sporting Hound Association Specialty and the Foothill’s Gazehound Club Specialty. Thank you to Peggy Mignon of ValByDanes for showing him throughout the weekend. Despite the poor weather at the start of the weekend, he shone and was such a trooper. It is great to have a puppy that actually get’s it and enjoys the show ring.

Friday August 3 – At ASHA he was awarded BOB, BW and BPIS under Mrs. Patti Widick Neale

Sunday August 5 – At FGC he was awarded Best in Sweeps by Charles Robert. He went on to win BOS, BW and BPIS under Allan Pepper

Monday August 6 – At AKC he was awarded BOS, BW and BP under Patricia V Trotter

Revol completed the weekend with 8 points. We are thrilled with his promise.

Lander’s Last Day – July 31,2012

We are very saddened by the passing of Lander on July 31, 2012. He was an amazing spirit that touched many during his two years with us. Thank you to Lloyd Simons for entrusting him in our care. We enjoyed showing him to his Canadian Championship. He sired our “Beatle Songs” litter and we have 3 amazing puppies to continue with his legacy. Lander suffered a short battle with Cancer

This weekend, Ian and I took Kellyhide Imp aka “Trixie” and Heathview Penny Lane for their ring debuts to the Evelyn Kenny All Breed Shows as well as the IWCC, Mid Western Branch Specialty in Calgary, Alberta. We showed the puppies as well as our Specials, Lonnkyle Lander and Heathview Sophie Tucker. Ian and I were very impressed with the resiliance of the puppies. They honestly had a very good time. Thank you to Peggy Mignon who assisted by handling for me. The Mid Western Branch Directors put on an excellent event and it was great to visit with old friends in the breed once again. Thank you to Judi Orsi for a great job judging and her words of wisdom at our banquet on Saturday night.

Heathview Howlin Wolf came by on Sunday to learn his show manners. He is our Sophie’s brother and lives with Michelle Parranto. We are going to start getting him out as he is maturing nicely. His first show of the season will be NACA on June 2nd, 2012

Kilkenny finishes her Championship with a BANG!!!!

We travelled 7 hours to Fort St. John, BC over Canada’s May long weekend. We took our trailer anticipating lovely weather. We woke up Friday morning to 3 inches of heavy wet snow all around us and did not come prepared for winter conditions. There were 6 shows to attend, two per day. During the 1st show, we were thrilled when the judge picked Kilkenny as his Best of Breed over the current reigning #1 IW in Canada and then went on to make her his Group 1 winner. What a way to finish her Championship.

Our Youngsters are growing up – 4.5 months

Laurie travelled to Denmark February 23 – 29th, 2012 to pick up our new puppy Kellyhide Imp. She is a delight with a charming personality. She has exceptional presence and confidence. We look forward to integrating her into the pack at Heathview and to enjoy many years with her delightful temperment.
